Move your mouse pointer and type at the same timeIt has been a common complaint since the beginning of graphical operating systems that the keyboard and the mouse are two separate devices requiring one hand to periodically leave the keyboard to operate the mouse. There is much benefit to combining these two devices and integrating the operations of typing and pointing. Our solution is to use a palm rest in front of the keyboard as a pointing device. Pressure on or movement of the palm rest is used to move the mouse pointer. The mouse buttons are on the palm rest right behind the space bar. Typing and pointing operations occur simultaneously without interruption of the typing. |

This model is sold as an accessory for an existing keyboard. It is either integrated into a keyboard drawer or made for a desktop. The keyboard and the palm rest move together. This motion is sensed and used as an input for the computer just as if it is a mouse. |

We have another design variation which is excellent for notebook computers. With this design the keyboard does not move. Concave palm pads on the palm rest sense directional pressure and influence the movement of the mouse pointer. The sensor is the same as what is used for the pointing stick type devices located between the keys. |

These devices work with the standard device drivers included with operating systems and are inter-operable with other pointing devices. We have a patent and we are interested in partnerships. Please contact us with any questions. |
